Welcome to April 2010 here at Unusual Living! This is our new monthly update post. I think a quick update around the first of the month about what happened in the previous month and what will be happening in the next month is in order.
March 2010 was a great month. I was able to follow my proposed blogging schedule posting about 2 posts a week and being consistent.
These are the posts for the month of March
Dealing with the Terrible Twos
Be Less Overwhelmed as a Parent in 5 Steps
Choices, The Key to a Great Day
Overall I wrote 9 articles. Many of them were dealing with parenting, and a few with you making great things happen for yourself. I like these type of posts. In April there will be a few of these posts, but we are going to jump into health, and finance. These are subjects that I am quite passionate about as well and have been doing some research and having some life experiences that I am going to write about in relation to these subjects. I am very excited for these things.
Another metric that I am going to talk about is traffic to the site. I don’t really have specific goals in this area, but it is good to keep an eye on once in a while. So each month when I write this update post I will delve into my Google Analytics reports. There won’t be a lot of in depth stuff but here are a few numbers.
Overall traffic for March was 67 visits, 164 page views, and average time on site of 2:53. So people are reading stuff for a bit. Also as a side note this month we passed a total of 25 posts. This will make post 28. So we don’t have a ton of content just yet. I feel good about this though.
Traffic came equally from Google and direct sources. Top keywords were Unusual Living, so I am happy with that.
The most popular post for the month was Routine Will Save You. It is interesting that this was the top post. I didn’t have any preconceived notions however.
Overall it was a good month. Next month like I said I will be jumping a bit more into fitness and finance. In a few months I may be bringing on another writer who knows a lot more about finance, and really likes to write about these things. He just needs to finish his masters…
The last bit of news is this month we will be looking at a new sight design. We will see how that works out!
I hope you enjoy this next month at Unusual Living. This are going to just keep getting better!
